About

Welcome. My name is Beth Nault-Warner. I’m the founding blogger of Push 2 the Front, a music and lifestyle page for people that want to find inspiration and motivation to carve out some time and live life. No waiting for the kids go off to college. Or for people that share an intense passion for music. If either of these is you, you’re my people.

If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.
~ Albert Einstein

My musical skill set includes no instruments and I wouldn’t want to torture you with my singing. Every time I try to tune my guitar, I break a string. But what I lack in talent I make up for with my fanatical love of music. (Pandemic update, I now have hours and hours of practice and lessons under my belt. I can tune without breaking strings. I can even finger pick a bit. 🙂

Storytelling is also a passion of mine. Good stories are important. They are us. That’s what I love about music. Storytelling & poetry on top of melody, harmony, and rhythm.

I live in Saint Paul with my husband and two nerdy, theater-loving teenagers. I have three adult step-kids. My dog is the best. My cat is mean but hilarious. We all love live music (maybe not the cat).

Finally, what I do for a living. I am the marketing director at MacPhail Center for Music. MacPhail is a passionate organization at the forefront of music education and appreciation for the arts. We are a leader in music therapy, Suzuki Talent Education, Early Childhood Music and community partnerships. When I go to work, I get to think about how to spread a love of music and that is certainly worth getting up for.

Why this blog? As I step into my mid-century, I don’t feel at all middle aged. I consider myself to be in the prime of my life. I’m surrounded by amazing women and men who are also getting better with age.

So move over baby chicks, it’s time to let the hens strut their stuff. It is my awesome goal to inspire, entertain, and occasionally educate people who want to Push 2 the Front. I will share experiences, latest obsessions, and the occasional confession. It’s my greatest hope that you’ll join in the conversation. If you’re like me, and are not in the least bit interested in the latest hacks for cleaning shower grout or how to most efficiently organize your spices, and if you don’t care about the rules for layering delicate gold necklaces, then this might be a good place for you. Let’s have some fun together.
